Director
Erin Truesdell is an Assistant Professor of Informatics at the New Jersey Institute of Technology whose current work focuses on studying social, embodied, and collaborative aspects of play, as well as the novel application of game and digital media design techniques in healthcare and informal learning.

Ren Hardzog
Ph.D. Student, Information Sciences
Ren Hardzog grew up in Texas, where she studied Mathematics and Computer Science—and got into the study of games. Although she enjoys playing games, she likes creating them even more. Her feline housemate only somewhat tolerates all of the tinkering that goes on in the home.

As a recent M.S. Computer Science graduate from NJIT, Leandro ‘Leo’ Paulino is interested in researching how UX, Sense-making, and XR intersect. Hobbies outside of software development and research include Photography, Exercising, and reading novels in their free time.

Adriana So is a senior at NJIT pursuing a degree in Web and Information Systems. She is interested in UX research and how digital experiences can improve accessibility, amplify underrepresented voices, and create more meaningful ways for people to connect. Her work focuses on designing human-centered technologies that support real-world user needs.
